How do we get there?
Itinerary
Day 1:
We collect you from your accommodation in Johannesburg around 6am and transfer you to the shuttle service at OR Tambo International Airport. Shuttle service departs in an air-conditioned bus to Hoedspruit. You will pass through the picturesque Mpumalanga farmlands en route to your lunch destination in Hoedspruit (client’s that fly into Hoedspruit Eastgate airport will be collected). After lunch (at own cost), we proceed to your first overnight accommodation at WITS Bushcamp Lodge.. Upon arrival, our dedicated staff will welcome you and show you to your chalets, where you can relax for a while. Your first official safari experience will commence shortly after settling into your accommodation – the Sunset Drive. Enjoy as the last rays of the gorgeous light bathe the African bushveld in vivid reds, yellows, and pinks (Hint: the lighting will add a romantic element to your photographs!). The Sunset Drive allows you the unique experience of spotting some nocturnal creatures that ordinarily are hidden during the day – watch out for eyes glowing in the dark! A delicious dinner awaits you at Bongan African Lodge at around 7pm – where the day’s adventures can be shared over a warm meal. Stay overnight in your comfortable chalet at WITS Bushcamp Lodge.
Day 2:
Set those alarms for bright and early! It’s time for your safari experience in the Kruger National Park. Starting from Orpen Gate in the Kruger Park and driving through the central areas of Kruger Park, your guide will show you the varied fauna and flora of this magnificent wildlife paradise. The open-sided Game Vehicle (with added elevation and absence of windows) allows for excellent viewing and photographic opportunities. Please keep your eyes peeled for our famous Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo). Dinner will be served from 7:30pm in the Bongan boma.
Day3:
Panoramic tour for the day. Depart after breakfast. Visit three rondawels, Bourkes potholes, Gods Window, and Mac mac falls
Day 4:
Your guide will take you on an early 4 hour game drive around the game reserve. Breakfast will be served at Bongan African Lodge. A late morning siesta is also a popular option. After lunch (own cost), we can explore the cultures of the village. One can also visit the African Sangoma. Dinner will be served at Bongan African Lodge and overnight at WITS Bushcamp Lodge.
Day 5:
An early game drive in Manyeleti / Kruger Park. After breakfast at 10am, we transfer you to your shuttle service in Hoedspruit who will the take you to OR Tambo International Airport.

How do we get there?
Shuttle transfer from OR Tambo – Hoedspruit:
We will collect you at your accommodation in Johannesburg and transfer you to OR Tambo International Airport, where you will join the shuttle
service (Safari Link or Swift). You will be transferred to Hoedspruit. On arrival in Hoedspruit, you will be met by one of our safari guides and start your Kruger Park Safari.
Shuttle transfer from Hoedspruit – OR Tambo:
On the last day of your safari, our guides will drop you at the shuttle service in Hoedspruit. The shuttle service will transfer you to OR Tambo Airport. Free transfers are offered from Johannesburg accommodations to the shuttle service at OR Tambo prior to your tour. Return transfers from the shuttle service at OR Tambo available on request.
Flights: from OR Tambo – Hoedspruit:
You can book your flight to Hoedspruit (departure time no later than 12:50, for arrival at Eastgate Airport, Hoedspruit by 13:45). On arrival in Hoedspruit, you will be met by one of our safari guides and start your Kruger Park Safari.
Flights: from Hoedspruit – OR Tambo:
Departure from Eastgate Airport, Hoedspruit (departure time no later than 14h20 for arrival at OR Tambo International Airport by 15:25).
